When you buy PDLC film from a factory, you are not just buying a roll of material. You are buying the consistency of every batch that comes off the production line. The Production Line

Our PDLC production starts with the ITO-coated PET film. We source this from certified suppliers and inspect every roll on arrival for conductivity and surface uniformity. The liquid crystal emulsion is mixed in-house, with the droplet size carefully controlled because that determines the frosted state quality.

The coating line applies the emulsion to the ITO film under clean-room conditions. Temperature, speed, and emulsion thickness are all monitored in real time. The film then passes through a curing oven, where the polymer matrix solidifies. The final lamination step bonds the two ITO layers together.

What We Test On Every Batch

Every batch that leaves the factory goes through the same QC checklist:

• Optical transmission: Measured with a spectrophotometer in both ON and OFF states. We verify above 88 percent clear transmission and under 2 percent haze.
• Switching speed: Timed from OFF to ON. We require under 0.5 seconds.
• Voltage and power: Every batch is tested at operating voltage to confirm 48 to 65V AC and 4 to 6W per square meter.
• Adhesion: A cross-hatch test confirms the adhesive bond on self-adhesive film.
• Visual inspection: Every roll is checked under backlighting for dust spots, uneven coating, or bus bar defects.

The Certifications That Matter

We hold the certifications that actually mean something in international trade:

• FCC certification for the control system and the film's electromagnetic compatibility. This is required for the US market.
• CE marking for products sold into the European Economic Area, covering health, safety, and environmental protection standards.

We also provide RoHS compliance declarations on request, which are increasingly required by large corporate buyers and government projects.

Why This Matters for Buyers

When you compare PDLC film suppliers, the certifications and the QC process are the two things that predict your long-term experience. A cheaper film that skips batch testing may look fine in the first sample. Raw Material Sourcing and Traceability

Quality starts before production begins. The ITO-coated PET film is the single most expensive component in PDLC film, and its quality determines the final optical performance. We source ITO film from two primary suppliers, both with documented conductivity specifications and batch traceability. Every incoming roll is tested for sheet resistance uniformity — a variation of more than 10 percent across the roll width will cause uneven switching and is rejected before it reaches the coating line.

The liquid crystal mixture is formulated in-house. The ratio of liquid crystal to polymer matrix, the droplet size distribution, and the curing parameters all affect the frosted-state opacity and clear-state haze. We maintain formulation records for every batch, which means if a customer reports an issue two years after installation, we can trace the exact formulation, raw material lot, and production parameters of that batch.

Production Capacity and Scalability

Our facility operates multiple precision coating lines with a combined annual capacity exceeding 500,000 square meters. This matters for two reasons. First, it means we can handle large projects — full office towers, hotel chains, retail rollouts — without extending lead times. Second, it means we can maintain consistent quality across large orders because each line runs the same formulation and the same process parameters.
